Packing Bay Roof Refurbishment – South Wales
A 3 layer felt roof system had become worn & started to leak, saturating the concrete roof underneath. The major hurdle we had to overcome was the roof had originally been designed to hold water surrounded with a parapet wall and only one outlet. We stripped the roof back to the concrete and dried it out, a cut to falls insulation scheme was designed to clear the water from the roof and bring it up to level with an adjoin roof. New outlets were built through the parapet wall to allow sufficient drainage. A 25year cold liquid applied polyurethane warm roof system was installed using the designed insulation scheme. This allowed the glazing that now formed part of the flashing upstand to be easily waterproofed.
